About
We help artists and creatives feel clear, confident, and creatively visible in the digital world — blending movement wisdom with media know-how.
Technology should serve your creative vision, not block it.
At Dances With Tech, we make the digital side of your work feel less like a chore and more like an extension of your artistry.
Whether you’re archiving a live performance, launching a new offering, or finally tackling that mountain of unorganized media files, we help you feel less overwhelmed and more at home in the digital space.
Rooted in movement. Amplified by tech.

Where Creativity Meets Clarity
At Dances With Tech, every service is designed to meet you at the intersection of body, story, and technology.
My four service pillars: 1. Co-Created Media Production, 2. Tech Confidence Workshops, 3. Creative Clarity Consulting, and 4. Body Sync Sessions, offer ways to tell your story, grow your skills, and connect more deeply with your creative work.
What makes Dances With Tech different? It’s not just the services, it’s the philosophy.
Everything I do is shaped by seven core values:
-
Curiosity in Motion – Playful rigor and lifelong learning.
-
Body-Led Clarity – Honoring the body’s intelligence in every process.
-
Creative Co-Creation – Responding to context with care and adaptability.
-
Cultural Integrity – Respecting lineages, histories, and creative inheritance.
-
Accessible by Design – Making media and tech skills feel possible for everyone.
-
Playful Innovation – Joy and curiosity drive our creative breakthroughs.
-
Reflective Alchemy – Turning complexity into joyful, doable action.
This work lives at the intersection of movement and media, where cameras don’t just capture, they connect. Where technology isn’t cold or intimidating, but an extension of your creativity. Where your body, your story, and your tools move in sync.

Our work is grounded in:
1. Connective Curiosity
We approach every project with playful rigor and lifelong learning. Movement, technology, and creativity are invitations to explore what’s possible.
2. Body-Led Clarity
The body is our compass. Movement, breath, and nervous system awareness guide how we teach, collaborate, and create, ensuring tech serves the human, not the other way around.
3. Creative Co-Creation
We build with, not for. Listening deeply, asking better questions, and shaping solutions together ensures our work is responsive, adaptable, and grounded in care.
4. Cultural Integrity
Every story has roots. We honor the histories, lineages, and communities behind the work, ensuring authenticity, respect, and context in every frame.
5. Accessible by Design
We meet people where they are. Our processes, tools, and language are designed to be inclusive and approachable, making digital skills and media practices approachable for all.
6. Playful Innovation
We embrace curiosity and joy as catalysts for innovation, using movement and media to spark new ideas and unexpected possibilities.
7. Reflective Alchemy
We pause, assess, and adapt. Reflection turns complexity into clear, doable action, transforming challenges into growth and possibility.

Meet Ri Lindegren
Founder, Dances With Tech
Hi, I’m Ri Lindegren (ree lend-a-grin) — a mover, media maker, and founder of Dances With Tech. My work lives where dance collides with cameras, where technology bends into storytelling, and where somatic wisdom meets the strange magic of emerging media.
With an MFA in Dance & Interdisciplinary Digital Media & Performance from Arizona State University ,and a background in anthropology, international studies, gender studies, and over two decades of movement training, I bring a rare mix of creative intuition and technical proficiency. I’m a YTT 200-hour certified yoga teacher, Kennedy Center Arts Integration-trained teaching artist, and former Visiting Assistant Professor of Dance & Media at Arizona State University.
From two-camera performance shoots to interactive installations, I create media that honors the pulse of live work while helping artists share their stories with clarity, care, and impact. Whether I’m behind the camera, in the editing suite, or leading a workshop, I aim to make technology feel human, accessible, and even a little bit joyful.
